We are delighted to welcome Dr Dave Edyburn as our Keynote Speaker.
Dr Edyburn is a Senior Research Scientist and Professor Emeritus in the Research Rehabilitation Design and Disability (R2D2) Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His research interests focus on the use of technology to enhance teaching, learning and performance. He has authored over 175 articles and book chapters on the use of technology in special education and his work represents a variety of contributions to theory, research and practice. Dr Edyburn is an associate editor of the Assistive Technology journal and Past Chair of the American Education Research Association (AERA) Online Teaching and Learning Special Interest Group.
Disability as Cyber Security Use Cases
What should Cyber Security developers and researchers understand about users who have a disability when they develop authentication systems? In this session, the presenter will explore how understanding disability can inform use cases for designing and evaluating cyber security products and systems. Among the topics to be addressed: accessibility, assistive technology, biometrics, functional limitations, multi factor authentication, personas, privacy, risk assessment, social engineering, threat assessment, and universal design. A number of use cases will be presented.
