Biography
Clive Gilbert is Policy Manager for Assistive Technology at Policy Connect, a cross-party think tank that coordinates the activities of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Assistive Technology (APPGAT). In addition to his role at Policy Connect, Clive has acted as a consultant to central government and local authorities on a range of social policy issues, including social care. Clive is also the author of the dispATches newsletter – a monthly ebulletin reporting on the latest developments from the world of assistive technology. A lifelong user of assistive technology, Clive has extensive experience advising policymakers and front-line service providers on how to support and empower disabled and older people.
